No substance abuse. If you are suspected of substance use, you will be asked to leave.

What is this event?
This event is a celebration of Miku Expo coming to NZ, by hosting a night full of Vocaloid and other Japanese music! Essentially, it’s Voca-Club!What is Voca-Club?
Voca-Club, or ボカクラ (boka-kura) as it is known in Japan is the club scene focused around Vocaloid songs, similar to アニクラ (ani-kura) which resolves around anime-related songs. Voca-club events are often hosted in bars, event spaces or actual clubs, for Vocaloid fans by Vocaloid fans. That sounds kind of intimidating for an introvert, am I expected to drink or be mashed up against other people?
Not at all. Most Voca-Club events are focused on having people be comfortable and having enough space around you to move. No one is expected to do anything, other than have a good time. Voca-Club events are often prepared by introverts, for introverts, but believe us when we say it’s a whole different experience to hear your Voca-favourites blasting from the speakers live! Will only Vocaloid music be played?
While the event is focused around Vocaloid and Vocaloid culture, it's not restricted to only Vocaloid music. Additionally, Vocaloid culture includes a majority of the other popular Vocal Synths. Is there anything I should bring?
If you plan to drink, valid ID is essential! The only valid IDs that will be accepted are a passport, current NZ driving license, Hospitality NZ 18+ Card or Kiwi Access Card. Screenshots will not be accepted.
We recommend ear plugs if you've never gone to an event or concert with loud music before, as standing in front of loud speakers for a few hours can be quite uncomfortable.
Light sticks can also be a fun way to show your love for a song too! There are minimal restrictions on the type of light stick as long as it doesn't cause harm to people.
And lastly, don't bring too much! There's not going to be any place to store stuff, so it's advised to only take a tiny or small bag with you.Is there BYO / Should I bring snacks?
No. No food or drink will be allowed onto the premises. We will have paper cups to drink water with.Is this event only for people aged 18 and over?
Not necessarily, we welcome those 16 and above as well to participate, but we ask that you get permission from your parents or guardians before doing so and let them know what time you plan to head home! The timetable is scheduled in a way so that the majority of people can still catch DJ Ni-go before their last bus home. For those wanting to stay later, a rough schedule of late night buses can be found here: https://at.govt.nz/bus-train-ferry/bus-services/night-busI have a question that isn't on here, how can I get in contact?
Jump into our discord channel (invite through the icon below) and ask in our #questions channel! We'll get back to questions when possible!
